Old Lutheran

My dear friend Nate directed me, recently, to the Old Lutheran website. Oh ... my ... goodness. I laughed out loud when I read the "You Know You're a Lutheran If ..." bit. If you are a Lutheran, or a recovering Lutheran, you should check this out. The Shop is the best part: hilarious tshirts, wind-up or bobblehead Luthers ... and I really want this shirt:

I still laugh out loud every time I read it. It's corney and I've read it dozens of times, but it still gets me. "A pulpit." Man, that's good stuff.

If you are not, nor have ever been, Lutheran you may not be amused. But if that's the case you were probably Catholic and Catholics have all kinds of humor I just don't get. We're even.

Kaitlyn actually has an Old Lutheran onesie. On the front it says Here I Crawl ('Cause I can't stand yet) and on the back it says "Does this diaper make my butt look big?" It's still a little big for her but she'll be sporting it soon. =)

Marianne...What does "does my butt look big?" have to do with Lutherans?

"Here I Crawl"???? That's AWESOME!!!!

I saw that onesie in the "store." Cute. Alright, I retract the Apostle's Creed BAM, but I'm throwing another one out there for potlucks. Catholics got nothin' on a Lutheran potluck.

I'm just glad to see that Bible Church people still have a sense of humor! I mean, they got everything else wrong.....

well, girl, yer a fine wan for th' BAMS. (that's an oirish accent, mind.)

and i'll give you the potlucks BAM. we may have the ice fishing contests and raffles, but you guys have definitely always crushed us in the realm of casseroles and "salads". i concede.

(what are "Bible Churches", by the way, jon? is that us?? sounds like a pretty good thing to be, actually.) sorta...logical. i like it! :)

Holy monstrance!...has any one seen my eucharist? Mike I.

What did you call me? Your what? Or was that a virtual sneeze? Bless you.

In case you didn't look it up; a monstrance is "a receptical in which the host (eucharist, for Catholics and former altar boys) is held and displayed."
